Dining Out Review: Bella Sicilia
BY DANA CRAIG Special correspondent
No matter how much I obsess about gathering information on every new, good or unique restaurant in and around Richmond, the fact that I haven’t figured out teletransportation limits the number of eateries I can visit on a regular basis.
While the confines of a 24-hour day keep me from following up every reader suggestion, I do appreciate people taking the time to contact me with recommendations.
Such a tip recently led me to Bella Sicilia, a family-owned Italian restaurant in a small shopping center near the Goochland County Courthouse.
Bella Sicilia is your quintessential neighborhood Italian joint. The options and portions are plentiful, the staff couldn’t be sweeter and you’ll leave with a smile on your face.
That being said, its menu of pizzas, subs, pastas and house specialties (veal piccata, chicken cacciatore, etc.) is pretty predictable. But given the steady stream of people picking up takeout orders on a recent Thursday evening, Bella Sicilia seems to be giving Goochland exactly what it wants.
